“ On a 3-day bike trip through the Chianti region, we stumbled on this fantastic restaurant in our two days in San Gimignano. It's outside of the city walls, which helps make it feel more authentic. I heard many different languages at dinner. The owner greeted us so warmly and friendly, and told us a reservation had not shown up, so we were able to get in. Highly recommend making a reservation. The food was absolutely incredible! It's true Tuscan cuisine, so no pizza in sight! The bartender made my partner the best negroni he'd ever had, and you could tell he was so proud of his mixology skills. The owner was so kind, as was the woman who served us. The mango tiramisu was the best dessert I've had. The pig belly was outstanding. Highly recommend this place! ”
“ Generally good food. The Tuscan Pigeon was very well made. The Tuscan soup was just ok if compared with other restaurants. ”
“ Food was generally fantastic but the desserts were a let down. Service was great and they were really accommodating with our young children. Would recommend if you're in the area! ”
“ In my opinion, this was the best restaurant we tried in Tuscany. We went twice and both the times the food, the wine and the service were top! It is a bit expensive but the quality is there. Highly recommend the pulpo, pumpkin soup and cure meat and cheese board. ”
“ We came here based on a recommendation. Nice restaurant, not in the center of San Gimignano. We ate the fried pecorino cheese with pear - it was very good with a nice balance. Then, the raviolis with carbonara - very good - and the pappardelle, which I didn’t enjoy that much. The staff was incredible and very nice. ”
“ We loved eating here! If you want fresh ingredients and delicious food, this is the place to come. Their legume vegetable soup is exceptional, as is their smelt and prawn salad. Tired of the standard pizza, cheese/salami and pasta? This place is definitely worth coming to. Friendly staff, cold beer, delicious food, beautiful location, outdoor seating with shade - what more could you want?! ”
